Empoli FC partnered with Wov Labs in March 2024 to tokenize the club's jerseys. Starting with the 2024-25 season, every official Empoli FC jersey includes a Wov Labs smart tag embedded in the fabric. Each tag is linked to a unique Digital Passport stored on the VeChain blockchain and bound to a one-of-one NFT. This phygital experience enables new forms of fan engagement: For example, if a player scores a goal, all fans who own that player's jersey receive exclusive rewards such as merchandise discounts.

FC Empoli launched its first NFT collection in cooperation with Blocksport in May 2022. The NFT collection was launched alongside a solidarity match, that FC Empoli played against Ukraine, intended to further raise funds which will be donated to Ukraine. The collection included a total of 10 NFTs, that each featured a unique photo from the match. The NFTs were auctioned from 18 May 2022 to 6 June 2022 and earned a total of 7.55 BNB (~2.2k USD).
